CanAIFindMyStore — Privacy Policy

CanAIFindMyStore ("the app", "we") is a Shopify app operated by Sageskills Technology that audits a store's readiness for AI shopping assistants and, with the merchant's explicit purchase and action, improves product content. This policy describes what data the app accesses, stores, and shares.

Information we collect

• Store information: store name, myshopify domain, store contact email, plan type, and primary domain — provided by Shopify when you install the app.
• Product catalog data: product titles, descriptions, tags, images (URLs and alt text), variants, prices, categories, and metafields — read to run the audit, and written only when you apply a fix.
• Storefront pages: we fetch public storefront URLs (robots.txt, sitemap, product pages, policy pages) the same way a search engine would, to check AI-crawler accessibility.
• Usage data: audit results, scores, applied-fix history (including before/after values so changes can be reviewed), and purchase records.

We do not collect customer personal data, order data, or payment card data. The app does not request access to your customers or orders.

How we use it

• To compute your AI-readiness score and audit report.
• To generate improved product content (descriptions, meta descriptions, alt text, tags, categories, attributes) when you purchase and run AI Auto-Fix.
• To provide support and maintain the service.

AI processing

When you run an AI fix, the relevant product content (titles, descriptions, tags — never customer data) is sent to our AI subprocessor (OpenAI) to generate the improved content. This content is not used by us to train AI models.

Billing

Purchases are one-time charges processed entirely by Shopify's billing system. We never see or store your payment details.

Data retention & deletion

Audit results and fix history are retained while the app is installed so your reports and change history keep working. We honor Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks: on a data-erasure request (shop/redact), stored data for that store is deleted. You can also request deletion any time at the contact below.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except the subprocessors required to operate the service: Shopify (platform), Fly.io (hosting), and OpenAI (AI content generation, as above).
